About
About
As an anchor, interviewer and moderator, I create spaces for dialogue — across business, public policy, technology and social issues — for companies, government bodies, international conferences and business media in Japan and abroad.
I was born in the United Kingdom and spent my junior high school years in New York. Growing up surrounded by different cultures and values was a turning point for me — I learned firsthand that the world holds countless ways of thinking and living, and that we can broaden our own world, little by little, through encounters and conversation. That experience remains the starting point for both my work and my values today.
After graduating from Keio University with a degree in political science, I joined NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, in 2010. As a reporter for News Watch 9 and an anchor for Close-Up Gendai+, I covered stories in Japan and overseas — reporting, broadcasting live and conducting interviews. Beyond simply reporting what was happening, I made it a priority to listen closely to the people and stories behind each event, and to carry their voices forward with care.
After leaving NHK, I wanted the freedom to connect people across different fields and perspectives, and to create new spaces for dialogue — so in November 2024, I founded IZMiN Inc.
Today, I work as a host and interviewer for business media, and as an emcee and moderator for corporate events, international conferences, and government and municipal forums. I care deeply about creating spaces where dialogue with business leaders, researchers, policymakers and entrepreneurs can spark new perspectives and understanding. I'm also involved with nonprofit organizations, contributing to society through dialogue and communication.
What I value most — in my work, and as a person — is curiosity, and conversation.
When we meet someone with curiosity and keep the conversation going, both our world and theirs grow a little wider. Encountering different values gives rise to new perspectives — and deepens our own thinking in turn.
Traveling — walking through different places, encountering beautiful architecture and design, art and food, and the culture and values of the people who live there — is, for me, essential time for discovering the world and nurturing my own curiosity. I want to keep sharing the encounters, insights and questions that arise from these everyday moments, and to keep growing a perspective that connects people with the world.
Curiosity and conversation broaden the worlds of the people who share them. I believe that, accumulated over time, this can lead to a slightly kinder society.

Curiosityconnects people, and makes the world a little wider.
I believe that when people meet with curiosity, and keep the conversation going, they can broaden their world — little by little.
To encounter different values is to widen your own world.
And, over time, that accumulation nurtures understanding between people — leading to a slightly kinder society.
Curiosity creates connection.
